Australian Tech 1 Racing driver, Thomas Maxwell put in a solid performance despite mixed weather conditions for Round 2 of the 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup Championship at Silverstone Circuit in the UK.

After a number of Maxwell's best laps being disallowed due to track limits in qualifying, the Australian was placed 26 on the starting grid.  A messy start for Race 1 for a number of drivers had the safety car out and in control through the pit lane after lap 2 but once racing resumed Maxwell put in a good race and ended a respectable 13th out of 30.

Day two's damp track had drivers heading back into the pits during qualifying for slicks and Maxwell start on position 17 on Sunday.  Again, Race 2 had the safety car out early and drivers in a holding pattern until lap 6 after a driver stopped on the grass, but once racing resumed Maxwell didn't let the starting position hold him back and fans where treated to a 'down under' battle for position 8 with another Aussie driver.
