Maxwell well prepared for 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup Championship

After a 2 month Christmas break, Australian racing driver Thomas Maxwell has returned to Europe in preparation the 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup Championship.

Thomas Maxwell will take up #5 with Tech 1 Racing for the 2017 championship and has continued to impress at per-season elite driver training camps and during simulator training at some of Europe's leading driver training facilities.

After meeting his new car and undergoing new seat fitting, next week will see Maxwell head to Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France for the first round of testing and he is more ready than ever to launch himself onto the European circuits

Thomas Maxwell"I'm super pumped for the season to get underway. I'm hungry to perform and I've never wanted something as much as this. The amount of effort and sacrifice everyone has put into making this happen is what drives me to succeed. I know if we work our butts off we'll be able achieve our desired results"

Simon Abadie (Tech 1 team manager): “Tom came to our factory last week and it was great having him back with us in France and preparing for the season ahead.  He met his new car and I think he’s already in love with it ! The seat fit and engineering meetings have been done to prepare the first tests and all lights are green. Tom's dedication and skills set is already proving that he will perform well this year even if it won’t be easy in such a strong championship as the Formula Renault Eurocup. We are looking forward to working with him to achieve top results.”

The series will see the Australian head to 9 different countries to compete in the 10 round championship which includes a feature race at one of the biggest events of the year, the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix.
